My research focuses on planetary surface processes and their effects on the surrounding mineralogy and geochemistry. By studying the alteration of minerals found at analog sites on Earth, we can characterize and constrain similar processes that may have occurred on other terrestrial bodies in our solar system. While my main projects focus on Mars, I am also interested in lunar surface processes. I use a combination of field work and laboratory analysis, which includes VNIR Spectroscopy, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, X-Ray diffraction, and Transmission Electron Microscopy.
